SUMMARY OF TODAY’S TRADING (22/01/2010)

It was really a very high volatile day of trading took place today and ended the market with a very weak note and trading quantity was also very high. Nevertheless, the uptrend is absolutely intact and there is no doubt about that because NIFTY was able to close well above 5000 mark despite it has gone to the maximum low of this week and in the recent past especially.

The main reason for today’s fallout was the worst Global Cues and Monetary Policy of China has also tightened its own market and also US Bank’s regulations that has reflected in the market as well. In the coming week, we may expect some rally and markets may head towards upside because there is no reasonable cause or whatsoever to outperform by our markets. So we can expect for the high action due to F&O expiry and a holiday on Tuesday on account of Republic Day

SENSEX today closed at 16859, down by 191 points and Nifty at 5036, down by 58 points from its previous close. CNX MIDCAP INDEX was down by 0.87% and BSE SMALLCAP INDEX was down by 1.18%. The market breadth was absolutely negative with advances at 296 against declines of 994 on the NSE.

SUMMARY OF TODAY’S TRADING (20/01/2010)

Trading of this day was full of volatility and finally it was managed to end almost flat in spite of very bad and week Global Cues. Our market was keen to move up but it was constantly damaged by the Asian Market in morning and European Market in the afternoon and at last in the night by US markets. No expert is feeling that it is a down trend and they still feel to buy on dips. At the same time, if Nifty breaks the important level of 5150, then they expect for the big correction.

SENSEX shut shop at 17474, down 11 points and Nifty 5221, down 3 points from its previous close. CNX MIDCAP INDEX was down 0.52% and BSE SMALLCAP INDEX was down 0.07%. Overall market breadth was negative with advances at 500 against declines of 775 on the NSE. Today’s top Nifty gainers are SIEMENS, BHARTI and ABB LTD and losers are BPCL, JAIPRAKASH ASSOCIATES and ONGC.

Today’s top BSE gainers are JAI CORP LTD, SUN TV NETWORK LTD and AREVA T&D INDIA and losers are RASHTRIYA CHEMICALS, PRAJ INDUSTRIES LTD and NMDC LTD.

SUMMARY OF TODAY"S TRADING (30/09/2009)

It was another good day of trading and our market was the best performing one across Asia. Sensex has closed remarkably at above 17000 for the first time since May 9, 2008. Sensex shut shop at 17126, up 273 points and Nifty at 5083, up 77 points from its previous close. CNX Midcap index was up 1% and BSE Small Cap Index was up 0.94%. There was good buying in Banking, Auto and Capital Goods Sectors. The market breadth was positive thought the trading hours with advances at 751 against declines of 515 on the NSE. Top Nifty gainers included SBI, Axis Bank and ICICI Bank while losers were Gas & Oil, Gail and Suzlon Energy.

Further, the market has entered the bubble phase and could further rise by another 10-15%, The Market Experts expectation is that there could be a swift rise of 1000-points rally on the Sensex as the momentum is more than good enough now. Nifty may cross 5250 level and there will be volatility and profit booking also once it is raised to the said level.

It looks like a good trading session in the end as the market consolidated with a positive cues from Asian Markets and slightly from Europe. It was purely because of good buying in IT and Healthcare Sector. Hence, Sensex closed at 16852, up 159 points and Nifty at 5006, up 47 points from the previous close. CNX Midcap index was up 0.61% and BSE Smallcap index is up 0.93%. The market breadth was positive with advances at 775 against declines of 493 on the NSE. Top Nifty gainers included Sun Pharma, Cipla and TCS and Big Losers were BPCL, Unitech and Ranbaxy.

There are no negative triggers to drive the market into a deep correction. Many experts apprehend that this is a clear uptrend in the near future since Nifty has closed above 5006 with positive approach. So one can easily expect that Nifty can cross 5150 – 5200 points within few days of good trading.

SUMMARY OF TODAY"S TRADING (25/09/2009)

Today’s impact on the market is due to Weak Global Cues. G20 meeting is about to take place tonight and that has played some role here to pull down the sensex. Apart from that long weekend ahead has seen some profit booking in today's session. Sensex closed at 16693, down 88 points and Nifty at 4958, down 27 points from the previous close. CNX Midcap index was up 0.35% and BSE Smallcap index was up 0.92%. The market breadth was positive with advances at 755 against declines of 506 on the NSE

Nifty is about to move in a range of 4800-5100. So we have to maintain a trailing stop loss. The situation in the market was not really conducive for the investors to do trading, still efficient traders could have performed little better. There were still stock specific opportunities available and one can buy them on dips and sell at high. Overall one should stay positive on the market to avoid the risk of loss in the trading.

SUMMARY OF TODAY"S TRADING (23/09/2009)

It was a disappointing day despite the market ended weak being F&O expiry week and Nifty closed below 5000. Sensex closed at 16719, down 166 points (provisional) and Nifty at 4969, down 50 points (provisional) from the previous close. CNX Midcap index was down 1.09% and BSE Small Cap index was down 1.37%. The market breadth was negative with advances at 354 against declines of 910 on the NSE.

As we have indicated earlier in our message, Nifty has multiple resistances from 4970-5150, so the market is likely to correct in the near term and stay in a range from 4850-5100, careful trading at the moment is very important in cash market. We can go long once market reaches 4700 without any hesitation.

Today, we found bad result from Indian Share Market and we recommand a buy in Prime Focus from a short-term horizon. It is apparent from the charts of the stock from the March low of Rs.51.80, the stock has been on an intermediate-term uptrend. Moreover, it has been on a medium-term uptrend since July low of Rs.130. Recently, the stock took support around Rs.180 from the intermediate-term uptrend-line and continued to trend up. The daily moving average convergence and divergence (MACD) indicator has signalled a buy and weekly MACD is featuring in the positive territory. Our short-term forecast on the stock is bullish. We expect the stock to move up until it hits our price target of Rs.223. Traders with a short-term perspective can buy the stock while maintaining a stop-loss at Rs.192.

Bharti-MTN Merger

This amendment will make an open offer mandatory if 15 per cent stake is bought in a company through these securities. According to the earlier norms, an open offer is triggered only when ADRs or GDRs (American and Global Depositary Receipts) are converted into domestic shares with voting rights. The purchase of 15 per cent domestic shares also makes it mandatory for the buyer to make an open public offer to buy an additional 20 percent equity in the company.

The Bharti spokesperson said the company will fully comply with all legal requirements. For completing this merger, Bharti and MTN will now have to do some tinkering in their proposed structure of merger. Both companies have extended period for exclusive talks till september 30 and according to highly placed sources talks both at the level of companies as well as companies as well as government are still continueing to hammer out differences.

Sebi brings ADR/GDRs with voting rights on par with domestic shares. No change in status of ADR/GDRs without voting rights.

Earlier, a buyer had make an open offer if he purchased 15% domestic shares or converted GDRs into domestic shares.

Sebi move forces ADR/GDR holders to limit stake to 15%. If they exceed that limit, they have to make an open offer for another 20% of total shareholding.

Important terms in share market and in share trading

Market Order - When you put buy or sell price at market rate then the price get executes at the current rate of market. The market order get immediately executed at the current available price.

Stop Loss Orders - Stop loss orders ("stops") are limits set by traders at which they will automatically enter or exit trades - an order to buy or sell is placed in the market if price reaches a specified limit. A stop loss order is set to limit a trader's potential loss. The stop loss is placed below the current price (to protect a long position) or above the current price (to protect a short position).
